Google to Establish 50 Smart Schools in Islamabad

According to a report from a private news channel, Google recently held a meeting with the Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education and Vocational Training to outline its forthcoming plans for Pakistan’s education sector.

The plan entails outfitting 50 smart schools in Islamabad with 30,000 Google for Education IDs, integrating advanced features such as AI-driven practice sets and a suite of digital tools aimed at enhancing collaboration and productivity.

Several initiatives were discussed during the meeting, including conducting workshops for teachers on utilizing Google for Education Tools, establishing a public Google Reference School, providing job-ready skill training to 2,000 young individuals through Google Career Certificates, and exploring the possibility of co-hosting an EdTech event with the Ministry of Federal Education in Pakistan.
